Annual President’s Lunch & Business Awards

The Premier event on the AustCham Business calendar, the Annual Business Awards celebrate business success and recognise those businesses and individuals that have made a significant contribution to the economic ties that bind Australia and Singapore. The keynote presenter at this gala luncheon is always a highly-sought after speaker with notable industry or political leadership.

 


The High Commissioner’s Breakfast Series

The High Commissioners Breakfast is a joint initiative of AustCham and the Australian High Commission. The breakfast meetings are led by a presentation from a high profile Singaporean or international individual who is a recognised leader in their field, followed by an open forum.

These events are by invitation only.


Access Asia Dialogue

This new AustCham series brings together leaders in the Australian and Singaporean community to discuss, debate and deliberate Australia’s role in the region and how we can leverage current ties to drive deeper and broader engagement in Asia. Events will be professionally moderated and filmed to provide content for our new online knowledge centre.


Country Briefings

Our Doing Business In series brings together a panel of experts to discuss key considerations when planning and conducting business in countries within the region. Key challenges and opportunities are identified and discussion of the economic, political and social environments completes the business picture of the chosen country.


Inside Business

This series provides regular targeted, accessible events addressing topical and relevant issues for our members. The Inside Business events aim to provide an intimate and informal setting to engage with high-level, well-informed speakers on particular topics.


In Conversation With

A new series in 2017 it provides a community forum where members and guests gather to hear engaging and enlightening conversation. Speakers present insightful topics in subject areas including science and technology, leadership, marketing and communications, diversity, futuristic workspace, adventure and many more.


Breakfast with The Stars

CThis success program series brings an opportunity to young professionals and business owners to meet with a business icon, thought leader or successful entrepreneur as they share success story and tips for propelling career or business to the next level.


Launch Pad Series

Start-up focused series that covers key issues of relevance to entrepreneurs who are or plan to be engaged in start-up businesses in Singapore. This events are intimate and informal workshops where you can engage with industry experts in a supportive learning environment.


Focus Groups

AustCham holds focus groups and discussion forums on an ad-hoc basis covering current issues of interest in Australia, Singapore and Asia. An important part of our advocacy program, these forums allow our members to voice their concerns or opinions on a current topic so AustCham can better help represent our community and lobby for change where appropriate.


AustCham Special Breakfasts

Covering an extensive range of topical issues from corporate development to economic forums, our breakfast meetings attract a wide cross-section of our members. Events include regular economic updates from leading Australian and regional economists, forums with visiting dignitaries and policy and cultural discussions.

 


Excellence in Leaders Series

This series has attracted some notable speakers including past Prime Ministers of Australia, Kevin Rudd and Tony Abbot Westpac CEO and Managing Director, Gail Kelly; Qantas CEO Alan Joyce, Linfox Founder, Lindsay Fox and Li Cunxin, author of Mao’s Last Dancer. 

 


Other Events

AustCham also runs other events on an ad hoc basis that have a strong member interest such as an evening property forum, site visits and seminars. We also partner with other associations and chambers when there is an event organised that we see as high value or interest to our members. We assist the chamber or association by promoting the event and in return our members receive members’ rates.
