The Australian Chamber of Commerce, Singapore (AustCham) is an organisation which fosters, and provides a forum for, business links between Australia and Singapore. Essentially, AustCham is the Australian business community in Singapore.
Our Members
We have over 550 members covering a broad cross section of the Australian business community in Singapore:
* Australian companies in Singapore;
* Australians working for non Australian companies in Singapore; and
* Singaporeans and other nationalities who have a connection to Australian business
(whether in Australia or the region).
The one common theme is a connection to Australia.

We are the Australian business community in Singapore.
We are committed to assisting our members achieve business success through:
- * Connecting members to business & government, each other and our culture through
hosting, facilitating and providing events and services for members;
* Keeping members informed of the latest issues and opportunities in Singapore and
the region; and
* Offering members access to regional Australian chambers, the Australian High
Commission, Australian and Singapore government agencies and business.
We are your Australian business connection in Singapore.
What We Do
We meet our mission by hosting, facilitating and providing events and services for members.
This includes:
- * Running a business events program covering a variety of topics of interest
to members; Providing an interactive website, enabling members to access current
information relevant for their businesses;
- * Issuing a bi-monthly magazine, The Southern Star, keeping members abreast of what
has been and will be happening in AustCham and the region;
- * Working with the Australian High Commission to create opportunities for members
with Australian Government ministerial visits;
- * Hosting Business Connect evenings amongst members, as well as with other
chambers;
- * Providing a business introductions program, through meetings and the website;
- * Holding site tours so members can see operating businesses and meet with relevant
government officials to discuss pressing business issues;
- * Celebrating success through running the annual AustCham - Austrade Business
Awards and hosting the awards dinner;
- * Participating in joint promotion exercises with the regional Australian business
chambers, especially the annual business conference (hosted by Singapore in its
inaugural year in 2006).
- * Running the Community Fund program. More than a charity, the Community Fund
seeks to promote the Australian business community spirit by being involved in a
variety of activities including the Chris Rand Memorial Cancer Fund, established by
AustCham to remember our hard working committee member Chris Rand, donations
for disaster relief and charitable causes, supporting school student development
programs, educational scholarships and promoting greater understanding of
Australian culture.
- * Recognizing the special nature of the Australian culture, AustCham also holds a
number of social events throughout the year, enabling members network in a more
relaxed atmosphere. This includes the Australia Day Ball, the largest annual black tie
event in the region, and our famous Wine & Cheese evenings twice a year.
