We have brought together a panel of experts to share their insights on the business landscape in the Greater Mekong.   At this workshop Alison Hughes from PACE First will be talking about the issues that are facing our business leaders and the new innovations in education, training and risk management that are aimed at SMEs, schools, universities and workforces.     ANZ Group CEO Shayne Elliott plays an active role in promoting Australian economic growth, social progress and public policy development .Shayne will discuss the crucial steps of shaping strategy in a changing environment, leading through change, and the opportunities from the Australia-ASEAN relationship

This April AustCham partners with BritCham to host a special networking evening.   Annette Edmondson was recently nominated as the 2018 Women in Business Ambassador for Finlaysons Lawyers. As the first ever Ambassador, Annette will lead to inspire and provide an inspiring forum to discuss ideas and opportunities on women’s equality in the workforce.  

Join us for an exclusive luncheon with Elizabeth Proust AO Chairman from Australian Institute of Company Directors. In a keynote presentation, Elizabeth will explore the issues of trust, culture, diversity and board composition.

ASEAN-Australia Special Summit 2018

This weekend, Australia welcomed 9 ASEAN members states leaders and the Secretary-General of ASEAN to its first ASEAN-Australia Special Summit held in Sydney. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull co-chaired the summit. “The summit has given us an opportunity to confirm Australia’s steadfast commitment to ASEAN, the centrality of ASEAN and Australia as an all-weather friend, now and into the future,” said Mr Turnbull. Business Summit was an historic opportunity for regional business leaders to help shape and strengthen ASEAN and Australia trade and investment links. The summit was comprised of three events over two days, including a CEO Forum, SME Conference and a Women in Business Breakfast. 

  • CEO Forum examined topics vital to deepening economic integration, including agri-business supply chains, infrastructure, digital transformation, future energy, tourism destination development, and aviation. development of policy recommendations for the Leaders at the Special Summit to bolster the ASEAN-Australian trade and investment relationship.   • SME Conference on 16 March 2018 covered topics on opportunities and development of SMEs and their business networks and overseas markets. Regional specialists, business leaders and successful exporters from diverse industry, government and business backgrounds were brought together to share their knowledge and insights on the ASEAN-Australia trade relationship.   • Women in Business Breakfast covered promoting gender equality in the workforce and women’s economic empowerment. Opening remarks by Temasek Holdings CEO Ho Ching and Greater Sydney Commissioner Lucy Turnbull at the Women in Business Breakfast. Read more about the summit here.
