2019 ANZ Economic Outlook

According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2019 is the year of the Earth Pig, and in Chinese culture, pigs are a symbol of wealth. So after a volatile 2018, will economic prospects be less turbulent or will the US-China trade tensions reignite, and along with tightening global liquidity lead to a further slowing in the global economy.

Interviewed by Bloomberg’s Southeast Asia Economic Reporter Michelle Jamrisko, Khoon Goh, Head of Asia Research at ANZ, will present his outlook for how the Singapore and regional economy will navigate through a volatile global environment.
