Singapore 30 by 30 - the opportunities for Australian business Panel Discussion (1.00 - 5.00pm)

This year we are holding a half-day workshop before the event, looking at the opportunities for Australian business in agritech and aquaculture and the Singapore strategy for producing 30% of its food by 2030.

Worldwide, food security is emerging as a serious risk and with over 90% of its food supplies imported, Singapore is exposed to the volatilities of the global food market. Climate change, population growth, sudden disruptions to transport routes and exports bans all pose a threat to Singapore’s food security. To address these threats, Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has set a target of producing 30 per cent of Singapore nutritional needs by 2030. Known as the ’30 by 30’ vision, it will require the agri-food and aquaculture industries to look at new solutions to raise productivity, apply R&D and overcome resource constraints. An ambitious target, what opportunities will ’30 by 30’ provide to Australian businesses to work together with Singapore to achieve this goal?
