AustCham & BritCham Presents: Brexit & Australia

With a plan for Brexit no clearer and the deadline of 31st October looming, uncertainty seems to be the only constant in the process.

Brexit was intended to cause Britain to look beyond Europe but has so far caused all-consuming introspection. At some point soon Britain will have to re-engage with the rest of the world, what does that look like for the Asian region?

The Australian Chamber of Commerce & the British Chamber of Commerce invite you to a co-organised session on September 25th to share more on the events leading up and following October 31st when Brexit was due to happen.

Join our key speakers, Lord Gus O’Donnell, former British senior civil servant & economist and Andrew Robb AO, former Minister for Trade and Investment in Australia (2013-2016) as they share more on relations between the UK and the rest of the world.

Hear from two luminaries on this fascinating topic.

Speakers

Lord Gus O'Donnell - Former British Senior Civil Servant and Economist, Chairman at Frontier Economics (Europe)

Lord Gus is a former British senior civil servant and economist, who served as Cabinet Secretary to three British prime Ministers between 2005 and 2011. Whilst Cabinet Secretary, Gus O'Donnell was regularly referred to within the Civil Service, and subsequently in the popular press, as GOD; this was mainly because of his initials. In 2012, Gus joined Frontier Economics in the UK and is now the Chairman (Europe). Frontier Economics in Europe and Asia-Pacific are celebrating 20 years of service to clients in 2019.

Andrew Robb AO - Former Minister for Trade and Investment at Australian Government

Andrew Robb AO served as Minister for Trade and Investment from 2013 to 2016 in the Abbott and Turnbull Governments,.
