Inside Business – Cyber Attack: Preparing for the Inevitable

This session will take participants through the basics of using cyber readiness to enable business priorities and reduce risk, and introduces an approach for preparing for the inevitable cybersecurity incident. We will explore selected real world cyber attacks and the responses of the impacted organisations to better understand what works and what doesn’t.

Our world is continuously changing – cybercrime, rapid adoption of new and disruptive technologies, and tougher regulatory requirements are placing huge demands on traditional IT risk management practices, tools and methods.

When it comes to cybersecurity, it is widely accepted that despite the best protective cybersecurity measures, it is not a matter ‘if’, but ‘when’ your organisation will suffer a security incident or cyber attack. Cybersecurity incidents present threats to your business assets and your ongoing business operations. Your ability to manage your people and your operations with a cool head in the heat of a crisis will not only protect what is important, but enable you to resume business operations promptly with minimum damage and your organisation's reputation preserved.
