With over 90% of its daily food requirement imported and only around 1% of land allocated for agriculture, Singapore is vulnerable to food supply risks.

As global food demand grows far faster than supply, with increasing pressure from climate change, environmental concerns, geopolitical and health events, Singapore is not alone.

Local food security is a key global challenge for the 21st century.

At ComCrop, we’re addressing this problem. We build and run sustainable high-tech farms by converting otherwise unused urban spaces into productive and highly efficient plots, using 90% less water than traditional farms to grow crops 30-50% faster.

Through state-of-the-art hydroponic practices, industry-leading technology and the latest horticultural science, we are able to generate yields of between 3-10x those of normal farms, from spaces that once were rooftops, car parks, and under-used factory floors.

Pesticide and herbicide free. 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Every year.

And by growing it right next to where it’s consumed, we avoid the huge nutritional losses and transport costs associated with long distance freight. It’s a win-win for the people and the environment.

We’ve even pioneered the concept of ‘Zero-Mile-Greens” where we set up and run specialised farms inside the main food distribution centres to minimise handling costs and food safety risks.

Urban food production is the new ‘Essential Service’ for all countries, especially highly urbanised ones like Singapore.

It is the only way to provide local food security, higher nutrition and safety standards and at prices accessible for all to enjoy.

ComCrop is changing the world, one mouthful at a time.

If you have space that you want to turn into productive farms or if you need the highest quality, high nutrition ingredients for your food production or hospitality needs, we’d like to hear from you.
