Dear members,
I’m pleased to announce the appointment of Emma Humann as our new Executive Director for the Chamber, commencing August 2022.
Emma is an experienced leader with a career spanning across the corporate, for purpose and government sectors, with a track record for developing strategies that deliver outcomes and impact.
The Board is proud to have run a rigorous recruitment process to appoint Emma, receiving hundreds of applications from an incredibly talented pool of candidates.
Emma stood out for her background in engagement and understanding of member-based organisations, as well as her governance and strategy experience. Our priority is you – our members – and the Board was impressed with the vision Emma has for taking a member centric approach to shaping the future of our organisation.
In Emma’s words “I am excited to be joining the Chamber at what feels like an opportune point to understand how our members needs and expectations may have changed as we enter a world of living with COVID. Of course, this is only one of the many challenges our members face and I look forward to meeting and having these conversations in person over the coming months”.
Emma brings strong ties back to Australia, alongside her experience living and working here in Singapore.
Emma joins our fantastic executive team who have worked through the challenges of COVID to deliver programmes and maintain a strong community for our members. I’m looking forward to seeing the chamber continue the positive growth we have seen over the last few years under Emma’s leadership.
Best regards,
Chris Coburn
