AustCham Singapore President's Lunch 2025
We had an amazing President's Lunch 2025 last Friday (20 June) - a huge thank you to everyone who made the trip to Sentosa to join our celebration! The AustCham Singapore board and team hosted close to 350 guests at our largest President's Lunch to date with the help of the wonderful team at Raffles Sentosa Singapore. We had the pleasure of hearing from our Guest of Honour and recipient of this year's President's Medal, Chef Tetsuya Wakuda OAM from Waku Ghin at Marina Bay Sands, at a fireside chat in which we gleaned insights into his journey of excellence. Chef Tetsuya shared reflections on his remarkable journey from Japan to Australia to Singapore, offering rare insights into what it means to pursue excellence with quiet conviction.
The conversation also opened to the floor, where we covered a range of topics from inspiring the next generation of culinary talent to revealing his go-to local dish.
With this year marking 60 years of bilateral relations between Australia and Singapore, we introduced the new Australian Showcase Award, honouring two outstanding companies - one Singaporean and one Australian - that have made exceptional contributions in showcasing the best of Australian produce, products and innovation in Singapore. Congratulations to NTUC FairPrice Group and Little Farms, the recipients of this inaugural award.
Thank you H.E. Allaster Cox, Australian High Commissioner to Singapore, and Emily Follett, Australian Deputy High Commissioner to Singapore, for joining us at this year's President's Lunch.
A special thank you goes out to our chefs who prepared the amazing lunch - Bjoern Alexander from Raffles Sentosa, Drew Nocente from Cenzo, Jake Kowalewski from LeVeL33, Peter Rollinson from Flutes, and Simon Bell from Origin Grill.
This event would not be possible without the support of our partners - thank you to Presenting Partner ANZ, Supporting Partner Dulwich College (Singapore), Participating Partner University of Newcastle Australia, and Government Partner Australian High Commission, Singapore.
