Ministerial Dialogue with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade & Industry Mr. Gan Kim Yong
AustCham Singapore had the pleasure of hosting Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade & Industry Mr. Gan Kim Yong in a very timely Ministerial Dialogue on 22 April, in which DPM Gan shared his insights on the changing economic landscape, emphasising the importance for businesses to stay nimble as they navigate through significant uncertainties, which impacts long-term planning.
With Australia and Singapore celebrating 60 years of bilateral relations this year, DPM Gan also shared more about the key areas of focus for continued partnership between the two countries, highlighting the importance of trust and transparency as Singapore continues to work with like-minded partners like Australia, citing first-of-its-kind agreements such as the Singapore-Australia Green Economy Agreement as pathfinders for future partnerships.
A heartfelt thank you to DPM Gan for a very engaging session yesterday, and candidly addressing the questions from our members and guests.
This event would not be possible without our Presenting Partners ANZ and BlueScope - thank you for your continued support and collaboration.
Thank you also to H.E. Allaster Cox, Australian High Commissioner to Singapore, Emily Follett, Australian Deputy High Commissioner to Singapore, and to all our members and guests for taking the time to join us yesterday in this important dialogue.
