Lydia Margarit is Head of Community Engagement at AustCham, where she leads commercial partnerships and membership growth strategies to enable a connected and thriving Australia–Singapore business community.

She brings nearly two decades of experience in strategy, business development and international engagement, including close to 15 years at the CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency. She has worked across sectors including aviation, digital technologies, energy, advanced manufacturing, health and sustainability, leading industry collaborations and international initiatives across Asia-Pacific.

She has a strong track record of connecting people and ideas, and translating strategy into initiatives that deliver meaningful, long-term outcomes.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two young children and is always on the lookout for a good hiking trail.
