Message from our Patron

Dear Members and Friends,

As Patron of the Australian Chamber of Commerce (AustCham) Singapore, I am pleased to reaffirm my strong and ongoing support for this vital organisation. For over four decades, AustCham has played a key role in strengthening business ties between Australia and Singapore, fostering trade, investment, and innovation between our two nations.

As the Australian High Commissioner to Singapore, I am proud of the long-standing partnership between the Australian High Commission and AustCham. Together, we support Australian businesses operating in Singapore, provide valuable insights and networking opportunities, and advance Australia’s interests in the country and the region.

This year marks a significant milestone—the 60th anniversary of Singapore’s independence and diplomatic relations between our two countries.  We are partnering with AustCham and other Team Australia partners throughout 2025 to celebrate the people, businesses and institutions whose cooperation, innovation and friendships underpin this vital relationship. The Australian Government’s Invested: Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040 underscores Singapore’s key role in deepening Australia’s economic ties throughout Southeast Asia. AustCham plays a crucial role in supporting this strategy by fostering business connections, facilitating trade discussions, and advocating for policies that enhance two-way investment flows. As Australia’s largest trade and investment partner in Southeast Asia, Singapore is central to advancing shared priorities in green energy, digital trade, and infrastructure.

Through AustCham’s networks and initiatives, businesses can leverage opportunities, expand connections, and contribute to sustainable growth in our region and beyond. I strongly encourage all members to avail themselves of the resources and support that AustCham provides – and to contribute to discussion, debate and advice to governments (including via the Australian High Commission) through the Digital, Green, Purpose and SME committees.
